The Blu-Rays are out. I am hunting for the BDMVs now.
Subs: a.f.k (For both seasons)
Finalised versions:
- 1920×1080 h264 FLAC
- 1280×720 h264 AAC
- 848×480 h264 AAC
I will be releasing episode by episode, in the order that they appear on the Blu-Ray Disks.
From the comments, the majority of people are in favour of no Dual Audio. In that case, the plan will be to release single audio, however, I will also release the English audio files seperately, and provide a patch for you to mux it in easily. I will provide both FLAC and 192 kbps AAC versions of the English Audio.
I will include multiple subtitle streams:
- a.f.k subs (Easter name order) + songs/signs [Default]
- a.f.k subs (original) + songs/signs
- songs/signs only (use if you mux in the English Audio)
- Might include the official english subs as well, time permitting.
As Actar suggested, I will rip absolutely everything from the disks. All bonus materials, etc, etc.
I am still taking suggestions. Post away.

The dubs sucks anyways, so there’s no need for dual audio. And unlocalized subs are good, and I, for one, appreciate your efforts in un-localising a.f.k.’s scripts.

Anti – All shut the fuck ,every little asshole on the net that started watching anime with bad fansubs a few years ago says the same thing and doesn’t know what there talking about when it comes to dubs .So get a clue and go watch some anime thats been dubbed well and instead of agreeing with the other guys that have watched anime for 5 minutes and hate dubs get your own opinion.
Go back to Cartoon Network. Fuck dubs and all their over-localized bullshit (and yes, I initially started on dubs, not subs). Re-dubbing foreign language film is just awful as a fundamental concept, and people who can’t watch a show in its original language are a joke.

Seriously, I know people that hate subs since it requires *gasp* reading; their reading skills, along with their brains apparently, stopped developing in the second grade.
Besides, thanks to watching subs exclusively I’ve learned enough Japanese that I can actually understand 60% of what they are saying without reading the subs.
Actually, it would be great to see the extras get released/subbed by you guys as well… Most of the time, with either fansubs or US DVDs/BRs, they just don’t release all the awesome bonus stuff that we never get to see.

I know you tend to shy away from this, but as there was no info on the main post I was wondering if this will have ordered chapters, or OP and ED inserted with every file. I had to switch to comcast which gives me a bandwidth limit, and due to the amount I download it’s already getting pretty close, so the smaller I have to download the better.

And thank god. Fucking hate ordered chapters, I don’t need to save a smidge of HDD space when I have terabytes. Ordered chapters suck because they make fixing subtitles (not that I need to do it much on your releases) extremely hard.

I would like to say thank you for making the english audio avilible. I know a lot of people here are anti dub for what ever reason, but for those of us who do enjoy it, this is a real treat. I look forward to the release.
@ Player697: I’m pretty sure the first three discs are the bonus stuff (1=the bunch of different stuff, 2=Gekisou, 3=Gensou), and discs 4-8 will be the episodes. Although it doesn’t really matter either way in the end.
Also, it might be too early to answer this, since I’m not sure if the previews for S1 are even in the BDs…
But assuming that they are, how will they be incorporated in the release? Both previews at of end of the correct episodes, put as separate files, etc.? (I’d rather get the answer after it’s confirmed to (or not to) have it in the BDs, though.)
Hm…I guess I thought wrong.
Despite how the official sites lists the contents (making it seem like the episodes are on the last 5 and not the first 5), Disc 1 contains the six episodes of the Melancholy arc.
I say, good fansubbers please their “customers” first, not themselves.

A small request, I don’t know if BDMV included japanese subtitle or not, but if it does would you mind putting JP sub as an extra track please ? no need to OCR, vobsub track shouldn’t take more than 5MB per episode.
I’m learning japanese language and having JP sub track helps a lot.
