Ok guys, I gave it some thought and I can’t seem to get anywhere, so, here’s the deal:
Should it be:
1) 1280×720 H264 BD FLAC @ 600-650 MB
or
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
Use the comments to “vote.” When I am done with the QC and stuff I will “count the votes” and decide. The other version will be 1920×1080 H264 BD FLAC @ 900 MB. No SD version.
——————————————————————————————————————————–
1) 1280×720 H264 BD FLAC @ 600-650 MB -> 25 votes.
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB -> 60 votes.
Thanks for the feedback. Episode 1 will be out in a few hours. The encode for episode 2 is done but I haven’t started to work on it yet, and believe me, there are lots of improvements to be done to the scripts… Took me 9 hours to get this shit done and iirc episode 2 have 2 or even 3 times more signs *sigh*
What is the original audio on the BDs? If it is something fancy like 7.1 HDDTS master I’d say go with FLAC. Anything else go with AAC. General rule of BD encodes is 1080=lossless as it doesn’t add much to the file size, 720=Lossy.
Probably 2.0 PCM
My speakers are crappy, so AAC is the way to go for me. Besides, I probably wouldn’t hear the difference even if I had good speakers. Unless you decide to go for really low bitrate AAC of course.
option 1) FLAC
AAC. FLAC is for audiophiles, and how many of the people who watch this are using digital out and WASAPI anyways? And like someone already said they can mux it themselves if they really want FLAC on the 720p.
You’ll find they can only mux it themselves if they have the audio files. Though I agree with the previous comment recommending a rar package.
Please God, don’t make it a multiple rar package. They are nothing but a pain. I have had untold chaos with them.
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
┐( ̄ー ̄)┌
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
Flac is always the right choice
Please use AAC. Hell, I’m a sound engineer and I can tell no real difference between FLAC and 320kbps AAC. FLAC is just an annoying format IMO.
AAC. FLAC is just overkill.
Go for AAC. Normally I’d say FLAC, but seeing as how that is used in the 1080p version, I’d say go for smaller filesize. People who want FLAC probably don’t care about filesize and will likely get the 1080p version anyway.
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
I say go with FLAC, not real reason actually, ACC sounds about the same with FLAC, except if you have high end stereo and a good ear.
AAC
The highest quality should always be FLAC, and if there’s no SD then what would constitute as the “lowest” should be AAC. The people who care about quality are getting the 1920×1080 release, so AAC.
option 1)
Since FLAC is lossless.
If people still want to have lossy AAC audio, they can always easily encode it themselves with NeroAAC.
NEITHER! JUST HAVE THE AVI!!!!
AVI? Fuck that. Need some RMVB.
RMVB? fuck that, we need some .mov with sorenson video
Well, not everyone has a monster sound system (like BOSS). So we won’t be able to tell the difference between FLAC and AAC. So 720p should go with AAC.
FLAC is just the thing for 1080p. Perfect x Perfect.
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
I have a problem with size(lack of hdd space and lack of money) and honestly I hear no difference in AAC and FLAC.
i vote for flac
AAC because I am not a faggot.
“1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
┐( ̄ー ̄)┌”
it should be the :
2) 1280×720 H264 BD AAC @ 500-550 MB
Because the audio codec is easer to convert to reproduce on the ps3.
You are far the best Fan sub I have ever encountered
Keep up the good work!! =)
2)AAC because lolflac
AAC obviously
the name speaks for itself
1) FLAC
