do you guys know whether or not the quality is better than THORA’s “fate/stay night” 720P release? Cause usually the anime is just upscaled and there is no difference in quality. Just wondering how the quality is compared to THORA’s release before i invest the time and memory space to download this. Thanks for the response in advance!
Actually there is a slight difference if you played these 1080p ones and stretched THORA’s 720p ones to 1080p. Casually watching, you won’t be able to see the difference, because THORA’s encodes pack a pretty high bitrate for 720p.
According to the FSN website, the source is 1080i, neither 1080p nor 720p. So, depending on how good your blu-ray player + your encoding software is, once the 1080i is encoded to 1080p it can look better than 720p. THORA likely chose 720p because the source was 1080i.
Lots of people are under the misinterpretation that 1080i is lower resolution than 720p, when it’s not. 1080i converted to 1080p isn’t an upscale if your player and software can properly deinterlace it.

I have the Anime Supreme version of this, is it worth upgrading to this release? I could just mux in the English audio from my release if this is just Jap but with better quality. Or would it be better to get the THORA version instead?

why can’t you encoded AB normaly instead of makeing anybody to change their codecs settings…i really see you in a whole different view now doki… thank you very much for making to redownload a whole show after i allready burn it…
This is exactly why someone went through all the trouble to upload 8-bit versions for AB in addition to the 10-bit; for all the people who can’t seem to figure out *their* software/hardware problems.
I was surprised that there was someone kind (gullible) enough to provide them for you. Better figure out those codecs.

What the hell is tiger player? I suggest you uninstall it, and install the Klite codec pack (see links) and then use Media Player Classic.
