Hanasaku Iroha - 05

Still done within 24 hours of airing, not really a tragedy, is it?

There’s definitely something screwy with the audio. On non-HC MPC, the audio rate is down one notch below normal…but manually speeding it up to normal doesn’t make it match the video.

One way or the other something messed up the encode compared to the previous releases, and all the other current Doki releases. This ep is the only one that has issues.

There seems to be something wrong with the AUdio encode in Episode 5. I did not have any problems with the files before. From the MPlayer log:

: Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders
    : [aac @ 0x100bc8280]channel element 1.2 is not allocated
    : [aac @ 0x100bc8280]channel element 1.2 is not allocated
    : [aac @ 0x100bc8280]
    : ADecoder init failed πŸ™
    : Audio: no sound
    : Starting playback…

No Audio =( I thought it was my computer so I restarted it, but it still happened.

Same problem like with many others here, no audio for this episode. v2 release perhaps?

Iit’s definitly no the problem with our release since im having audio with it and I probably have the worse set up out of the whole group lol

  • Elvin21

No problem on the audio. I’ve used Windows Media Player and MPC-HC with the latest release of CCCP. Oh, thanks for the release!

    Tip of the Day~

    Always update your codec πŸ˜‰

I cannot get audio to play. Played file with MPlayerOSX Ext, Movist, Perian. Everything is up to date, but this will not play.
    From log:
    MPlayer OSX[289] : [aac @ 0x1009f75a0]channel element 1.2 is not allocated

That will infinitely repeat until file is closed.

For some reason, ffmpeg has issues decoding this episode – unlike the ones before.
You can get audio working with mplayer by forcing the FAAD decoder using “mplayer -afm faad “.

Trying to force audio codec driver family faad...
Opening audio decoder: [faad] AAC (MPEG2/4 Advanced Audio Coding)
    AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 2 ch, s16le, 128.0 kbit/8.33% (ratio: 16000->192000)
Selected audio codec: [faad] afm: faad (FAAD AAC (MPEG-2/MPEG-4 Audio))

    … and working

  • VinceNoir

I tried this and still have no audio.

  • Dami

i have no problems. Works perfectly!~ Thanks as always

  • abro

Has there been any resolution to the audio issues? I’m using XBMC Live Dharma and have updated everything. This is the only ep affected; all others are fine.

thanks for all the work, much appreciated.

    • Holo

I haven’t had time to investigate. It seems some people are affected, and others are not. I will fix it after my exams, so, at the end of the month.

  • per_igrin

Thanx Holo, we appreciate it πŸ™‚

  • boingman

Yeah, thanks for a fix. I am using XBMC and have the same issues with ep. 05. The others are fine, including ep. 6, are fine.

    Hellooooo

Just adding my comment here that yes, there’s something still strange about this episode, can’t get it to play at all in Windows media classic, but all the other episodes played just fine.

  • LinhLynk

This ep can’t be played in MPC but works fine in VLC.
