You can always use TV audio.
Amazon audio file is easily ripable just like subtitles. Only the video is not that easy to rip.
Anyway, i assuneme the encoder reencodes the audio for bloat reasons. The reencoded audio is almost the half of the filesize of the original. Which should be around 20 MB being saved.

We’re also working on a BD release of season 1 of our own, with updated and improved scripts, though the progress has been quite slow for various reasons.

Most of people are choosing groups because od translation quality. Who cares about something which is unnoticeable anyway (unless you have audiophile headphones). FFF is an iconic example of shitty translations sold in nice box. Maybe a bit better TS, maybe a bit better video or audio quality but those things are trivial and totally meaningless if translation itself is a shit. If Doki would release only a 480p and FFF or cummie were 1800p, I wold still choose Doki.

Who cares about a barely noticeable or even totally unnoticeable difference in audio if FFF’s script is just a garbage (like, well, all of memecartel releases).
Even if the difference would be clearly visible, I’d still pick better and more accurate translation (in this case Doki) over a little better video or audio.

For me it isn’t. Doki’s audio sounds way worse (pretty awful actually), because they re-encoded lossy to lossy. Sorry that I use headphones which are more expensive than 5 euro. I have no problem when they prefer AAC over AC3. But Amazon offers (a bit worse) AAC audio. So why doing a lossy to lossy conversion when you can use the AAC audio from Amazon? It’s a bit worse than the AC3 audio, sure, but waaaay better than the AAC here.
And for me using a garbage audio is a reason not to use Doki. Even when the translation is better (but I don’t really think so. Both are probably fine). A lossy to lossy conversation is something you NEVER EVER should do. The video is a bit worse as well, but for a benefit of 100MB I think it’s reasonable.

You wanna watch FFF’s release then go ahead, IRL most viewers can’t tell the difference in audio, but what they can notice is the superior translation by Doki.
and even if (for the sake of argument) there is a noticeable difference, I’d still pick the better translation over audio quality because, well, that’s the freakin’ main reason why we are all here using fan-made releases instead of just watching CR.
Good thing I don’t need to worry about the downgraded audio quality, since I always wait for BD’s anyway. ^^

I can’t speak japanese, that’s why I’m watching subs. Frankly, I can’t see bad translations or memery unless where blatantly obvious. But nowadays it seems like at least uh… “fans” of different groups are just throwing shit at each other without backing anything up.
I don’t really know either and this has nothing to do with the release, but this just kinda bothered me.
I feel you bro. Personally I stopped caring years ago. Now I just go with whatever group I feel is best for any given show at a time. Doki, FFF, a million other groups, it doesn’t matter. And yeah, I love Doki, but I’ve never really felt that FFF is a particularly bad group.
