I heard a lot of people say this anime turned out disappointing toward the end. Is it worth watching?

Nope, totally not worth watching.
P.S: the main characters (both hero/heroine) are pains in the a55.
P.S2: The end is fked, too.
P.S3: Mumei is NOT that great, if anyone want to watch this animu solely for that loli.
The series is about standard as for japanese iddology and world ending go for letting the new species take over. However yeah, id say the plot of the last arc is a bit… shaky.
However I dont think I can agree with either of your character comments. They actually get good character development. And Mumei is a great character…
The general consensus is that the plot got derailed around episode 6/7. Still worth watching.

Haven’t been able to watch beyond episode 5. It was already that bad at that point. Then I hear it got worse after episodes 6 and 7? Deary me.
Not worth watching, it’s a hot mess from episode 1. Think Attack on Titan, then make the plot even more predictable, then add zombies.

I used to just plug my ext drive to TV and watch anime in the 8-bit era, then everyone switch to 10-bit, can’t easily watch anime on TV anymore. A while ago, i tried opening Doki’s HEVC version of Grimgar on my TV, guess what? it plays, perfectly.
