So, for some reason, the music that’s playing on this page is playing through my RSS feed reader app on Chrome. I had to delete Doki from my list of feeds and then disable and restart the extension to get the music to stop playing whenever I opened my browser. Any idea what that’s about?
If subbing live action episodes doesn’t work out, would Doki stop doing it? I have faith that this project won’t detract from the amount of anime content, but subbing groups have always felt like strictly anime communities. Props for doing this though, who knows, a lot of us might like it.
A similar thing happened to me in a web-based RSS reader, except I could stop it by just changing the feed folder I was in. Seems that the tag that auto-plays music on this page takes effect in the RSS reader, except the play/pause button doesn’t actually work.
In any case, auto-play audio on websites has been an annoyance for quite a while now because it’s completely unexpected, and often unwelcome. I’m sure it was meant to hype the announcement up or something, but I can see other people taking more offense to it than me (it didn’t wake anybody up, so eh).
Also, it’s auto-playing on the home page right now. If it isn’t removed or put under a cut, it’ll continue do so until several more releases are out. I imagine the same thing would happen if somebody was searching for this release post or browsing the archives.
Please remove the audio link from this post and wherever it is at to trigger it in the RSS feed , I don’t want to remove Doki from my RSS, but I can have this same song looping while I’m trying to use the internet. Thanks!

Crying because the OP scared the shit out of me and made me delete my RSS Feeder. And now I’m slowly trying to figure out what sub groups I’m missing from my RSS. Doki plz hmu when you get rid of the music so I can add you guys back.

So in all seriousness, how many of you staff people who are working on this have watched the GTO anime, and/or read the manga? And what about Shonan Junai Gumi (the prequal)? And how many of you enjoyed it? Personally I love the series, and the manga is one of my all-time top favourites! (^_^) It’s too bad there aren’t any proper good releases of the anime…It is quite old, but even so. Encodes aside, the available subs out there are all kinda bad, if my memory serves me right. The old Shonan Junai Gumi OVA’s are even worse off…The manga is good, but nowhere near GTO imo.
