Why’d you go with the h…? If I cared about the crappy official I’d be watching the crappy official. But I don’t and I’m not. If FFF spells it Touka I’ll probably go with their releases now…

I probably am more annoyed over this than I should be, but the name is going to appear for the rest of the series, so it’s not a small change really. I was also borderline on which release to go for in he first place, and I mean switching for this release, not switching subbers period.

Meh! Just means the light novel did it wrong too, but I guess it’s just going to come down to preference in the end. Looks like I’ll have to just deal with the change though since FFF went with the official one too.
It’s not “wrong”. It just a different form of romanization.
If anything the romanization “Touka” is more wrong because that uses the non-standard romanization that was invented for the sake of computer keyboards and word processors.
Just because you are more used to seeing “Touka” doesn’t make it correct.

Well, it’s a small change, so I don’t really care either way, but I don’t really see why there is a need to translate anything the same way as they do in official translations, jut because they’re official. ┐(￣ー￣)┌
It’s not translation it’s just a spelling. The author chose to put “Tohka” in the romaji so it makes sense to keep that. I don’t like that name but I think that doki has always chosen official romaji for the character names.
Not true. We’ve often chose non-official versions due to the translator not agreeing with the official romanisation. It’s down to what the TL thinks is preferable, and that’s all.
I actually like this series, episode 1 was looking like I was going to drop it, but episode 2 really redeemed it.
Will you be making a v2 or patch for the second episode or a batch after the series is done for the naming correction?
Probably just fix it for the BDs. Which hopefully won’t have pantsu censoring in ep 2 too.
