Hayate has no nipples for some reason. Fail.
Doesn’t really make sense either, Nanoha and Fate have nipples in their transformations.
Neither were needed anyway, a 2 hour 30 movie with no fanservice at all except random out of place things like that. Infact you could pass the movie off as a PG without those scenes in the UK or America.
I’m sure the UK would find some way to have those nipples removed.

Commie probably just went with the official English without major changes, and the official script was pretty awful in terms of being faithful to the Japanese.

Have not watched any Lyrical Nanoha before. Was thinking maybe I should try the franchise out, since I like Madoka and Mai-HiME. Should I go with the movies, the series’, or both? :-/
Basic story is the same, with minor changes, between the movies and series. Watch the series first and then the movies I say.

For the most part it’s pretty harmless, I liked Nanoha A’s more than the first series, mostly because it was quite fast paced and the battles were good lol(Avoiding spoilers there).
The reason I have never watched it is because it seemed kind of girly to me in the past…
Ah, personally I think the show is suitable for anyone. It’s not all pink and unicorns, it’s more deep and serious at times, with some action and what not lol
Depending on what you watch, for example the series, you’l find Season 1 starts off really slow, as said. If you stick with it, you’l enjoy π
It’s a very likable series imo.
To be honest, I skipped the series after 5 Episodes and went straight for the movie and I didn’t felt like I missed anything. The movie is excellent as far as a re-telling goes.
Not sure how the second one is, I am glad I can now watch it, thanks, Doki.
Personally I don’t blame you for skipping to the movie, I remember the first season was very slow burning, I watched it before the movie came out so I didn’t have much choice lol
Anyway the animation in the second movie is amazing. π

I’d prefer to watch the movie first, because it’s better than the series… if you watch the 1st series first, you may drop it before it gets interesting, because the first few eps is mehh~.

Many of us, like me, always download 1080p releases of anime if we can, Rawr. Best quality and all that. I have my 42″ TV connected to my computer, so I use that as a monitor whenever I watch anime.
Ah, that explains things lol. I always download the 720p because I watch all my downloaded anime on my PC lol
Well, even I only have 22″ LCD for my desktop, 1080p really worth it. the difference is quite clear between 720p and 1080p, especially movie like this (not BD tv series)
Well, not that I have a TV, but I would prefer to keep the 1080p releases in case I would have one. And yeah, I did went out of my way to DL the Full HD for the first movie from Fileserve (and it’s my second DL from Doki, first is Campanella’s OVA – full HD one), around May 2011. Two years passes, and now I have access to faster download speed, downloading a 1080p movie would take only a few hours (compared to days back then) at most. Yeah, there is no oversize for a movie as awesome as this one. (laughs)

Watched it and it is awesome. Seen the TV series, and I think this cut out a lot of unnecessary stuff (avoiding spoils) while making what was important even that much better. Lots of wallpaper screenshot potential here.
As usual, your release is like 10 times better than that Commie’s crap.
