But I kid; Nichijou 19 was 525MB, with bitrate peaking off the charts at the beginning. Can’t imagine how huge the BD rip will be… This Blood-C episode is only 338MB, and the show generally hasn’t pushed any filesize limits.
And I couldn’t care less about a perceived drop in picture quality, most scenes don’t have much to lose anyway.
…maybe I should start using the 480p version for this show…

Any ETA on that idolmaster episode? UTW is several episodes behind, crunchyroll is shit and several episodes behind. You guys are the only ones usually getting it out on time but now you’re two days behind, what’s happening? Usually ain’t more than one day of waiting.

Saya…how bad of a protagonist are you? I mean really? First you watch a man go into the train that you know is evil and going to him. You then leave Nene at the door where the centipede was heading straight for a charge. This episode was by far the worst in neglect of protection. YOu see a beast and you let it get into the room full of people? Why not jump out and battle it? Why? Why? It’s easy to do and it is only the second floor. You are planning on engaging it any way so why do you let it get where people are?
This Saya fails at life. Whoever wrote the script is either trying to make Saya get everyone killed so you will hate her or they just like blood and have no idea how to actually fight/defend. In all of the previous cases, Saya ignored the best rule of defense. Keep yourself between the people you want to protect and the danger threatening them. It’s not rocket science. It is the basis of defense. The fighter in me howls in pain everytime there is a battle scene and I wonder why I keep watching (my bad habit of having to finish every story I start if I like it or not). You’re killing me writers! I’ve seen you write out better, more thought out battles. Why?

she just keeps acting plain stupid in about every fight. it kinda feels like watching a retarded person repeatedly running into a sliding door. i always get that face-palm-feeling. one can only hope the show gets better.
Seriously, she has got to be the WORST public defender in the history of monster fighting. I still like the show well enough but god damn girl how about you stop getting people killed for no reason maybe?
You guys are being too quick with your judgement. Honestly, I think her subconscious mind simply doesn’t care about what happens to her friends. Remember that scene when Saya talks to her father and says something like, “If something happened to you I would… What would I do…?” That pretty much shows that she doesn’t really care. I think it’s got something to do with her past. We’ll have to wait for the finale episode to find out.
Saya waits until like 5 people die before she starts attacking the aged ones. This show is bad, Sol. My shows are better… Oh wait.

If there’s some reason why she behaves this way then fine and good, maybe my opinion on her will change when that information is revealed. But for now it hasn’t been and I have to assume that she’s just a moron.
I mostly wish they would give the actress a different mic. Soundbooth overall has been kinda mediocre but her amplified reverb offends mine ears.

No. You’re incorrect. Episodes encoded by kokus, who has absolutely no respect for downloaders, used 16 ref frames. Episodes encoded by Holo used 5 ref frames.

Saya is endowed with nice breasts – as we can see in not so much censored bathing scene (lack of nipples is another matter *cough* BDs *cough* ) – but not so much with brain. Or maybe she wanted to see some attacks of that spider-like creature first so fight will be easier? In such a case that was clever move.
