We shall never make a drinking game about it. We’d be dead from alcohol intoxication before we ran out of beach episodes (you’d think Japanese citizens would know what the sea looks like, even if it takes them several hours to get there).
Also…how did they chose which twin to include in Ryuugu Komachi? Jan-ken-pon =p?
There are several reasons they might have chosen the one they did to include in Ryuuguu Komachi in the game.
But mainly, they chose the one who hadn’t had an image change, so that the player could produce the one who had. This gives a more interesting story to the player, to find out why Mami decided to grow her hair out and stop working together with Ami as a single idol. In the original game, they hid the fact that they were twins and took advantage of it to switch out between jobs so they’d each only have to do half the work. They both worked under the name Futami Ami. Mami, the other twin, decided for some reason to change her image and debut as an idol on her own.
Plotwise, Ami was they name they had been promoting for longer, so maybe Ritsuko thought Ami would have better chances for a unit. But in the game they never went into Ritsuko’s specific reasons for picking who she did, so it’s not known for certain.
Ah yes, I was reading about the game and figured as much. Mami would be the “new” idol while Ami is the known name hence Ami gets the promotion while Producer gets the chance to make Mami famous now. I do hope Mami gets the new look seeing as they showed Azusa with her IM@S 2 look.
It’s actually refreshing to hear someone pointing out a word that’s not adhering to UK’s English. No need to answer in such a foul mood, seeing as it’s being merely pointed out and there was no derisive comment attached.
And consistency is the reason why you should care. Then again in the past some people don’t even care when some terms are translated in 3-4 different ways by the same group.
I don’t care because I’m Norwegian, and both British and American ways of spelling English words feel natural to me in 90% of all cases, so even if an episode were to be fansubbed in 50% American English, and 50% British, I probably still wouldn’t care, and for the most part I wouldn’t even notice, or think about it.
Well true, but it’s good to have consistency. I’m sure people with certain kinds of OCD would be bothered once they notice. But as I said, some people care more than others about such things. It won’t hurt for it to be fixed in their BD-version anyway.
I’ll tell the editor to be more careful about making sure everything is proper British English. Hopefully no more American English usages will get through. If it does, tell me about it and we’ll all yell at him.
