Cool, thx
Poor Yuki, she got eye beams to her hand.
Are you guys still releasing the english patches?
Yatta!!! Finally finished watching the never ending Eight, upuntil those episodes I would understand why the show was so popular, it’s a slice of life anime that tries something different, yet doesn’t steer too far away from the norm that fans of the genre would revolt. Maybe i’m wrong but when you strip away all the supernatural stuff, it appears to be a basic love story between one clue less indivdual and one person who doesn’t know how to express their feelings.
If I ever get hold of the person who thought eight Episodes is a good idea for a constant loop I’m going to strangle that person, (though I might have to wait in a long queue.) according to Wiki, the novel the arc was based on was only three chapters long.
Nah this is a story about a guy lusting after a pair of giant crying boobs and a girl who likes to have her way and can’t be honest.
I think Kyon cares about Mikuru, but I think thats more him white knighting than anything else
Actually, the side story the arc was based off is just ONE chapter
That’s insane, I get the whole gimmick of doing 8 episodes because of the name, but some variety wouldnt of hurt anyone.
Just one Chapter? Seriously….bloody hell, sad thing is, i’d figured out how to get out of the time loop pretty much straight away, it was so blatently obvious but the producers decided to make it run for eight whole episodes, I can’t even imagine, how bad it would be to wait eight whole weeks to get to the end of this when it was being aired.
I tried but couldn’t do it, I watched the episode six times in it’s entirety, ad just skimmed the last two episodes, until the loop was finished.
Thankfully the sigh of huruhi appears to be a good arc, wanted to smack Haruhi myself in episode 23, seriously her regular treatment of Makura is bad enough but she crossed the line in that episode.
If anything the loop could of been broken in 2 episodes if Kyon had just gone with that feeling he had and just said anything to Haruhi. She clearly wanted to do something more and that inturn was making her loop the world over and over.
Where is Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody?
I think it’s in Vol 2 batch.
THX
Great, it’s near the end.
Thanks for the work!
And thanks for the awesome Yuki Nagato pics lol…
Um Sorry, can someone help check haruhi 16 1080p.
but the CrC check result was different π
tq

Regarding the concert episodes, are they going to be subbed? I have already downloaded 2 DVD Disks of the concert. and yet never started watching them as they are not subbed.
Yep, they will be.
I have a chinese subbed version if you speak chinese
I have the Chinese version, but I’m not good at it
I downloaded it because I couldn’t find the raws :/
can someone make megaupload mirror links? some of us cant download from fileserve.
Torrent, or XDCC?
XDCC is well worth looking into if you don’t use it already.
I know you guys are going to be working on Shana and Lucky Star after this is done, but I’d still like to know how the progress on SHUFFLE! is going. :-/ Haven’t seen any releases of it at all since the first one.
Shuffle is making good progress, thanks for your inquiry.
Ok, thanks. Good to know. I know I keep asking from time to time, hopefully with some time passed between each time I do so, but I’m just really excited about the Blurays of this show, so I can’t help it. Hope you guys don’t find me too annoying. : )
Are there going to be OP/EDs, apart from the one which is done?
Fileserve is very well-known for causing problwm with CRC error. Will there be any other option for DDL in the future?
Use XDCC.
I tried looking at the guides for XDCC and downloading with IRC that was linked on the FAQS page, since you guys keep talking about how great it is, and I understood very little. It should be noted that I don’t really know how to use IRC in general. I’ve never used the program in my lifetime.
1. Download mirc
2. Tools > options > DCC > ignore: accept only
3. Add *.mkv > Ok
4. File > select server > rizon
5. Connect
6. /join #doki
7. @find crc of show you want ie @find 7C3C1A34
8. Bot will tell you something like:
[21:49] -Doki|Fate- XDCC SERVER – slots:[15/20], Min:10.0kB/s – /MSG Doki|Fate XDCC SEND x – Found: #1143:[Doki] Hanasaku Iroha – 14 (1280×720 h264 AAC) [7C3C1A34].mkv,380M
Important parts here are:
/MSG Doki|Fate XDCC SEND x
Found: #1143
9. /MSG Doki|Fate XDCC SEND 1143
10. accept
WOO thanks
I will consider it.
I know fileserve offer good payout but their servers are horrible, they do not have stable speed and the download accelerator can not achieve 100% cache build from getting files of fileserve’s server.
back then u have tried http://bitshare.com/. why not use it now?
IIRC, I didn’t like how Bitshare renamed the Doki files that I always uploaded.
hmmm…. what about http://www.filefactory.com/ ?
nah. forget it. download limit is just too small π
SaHa uses:
Depositfiles
Hotfile
Filesonic
All seem to work okay for the free user. And having more than one, allows those that have a paid account with one of them to use it.
Also means more uploading for us, more file management, etc.
Anything > Fileserve.
If anything Fileserve is so ridiculus with its demands to wait like half a minute for a timer to run out, enter a capture word, and then the whole slow download speed for free members, and lastly the download limits π
Thus why I will always use torrents over FS lol
Most DDL sites are that way though. They claim it’s a “slow speed” but unless you have a extremely fast connection you can get max speed.
It’s not the case. Waiting time is a must with normal users for DDL server. It’s just that fileserve servers are very unstable, with download accelerator and premium account, you still get lots of broken cache build. => CRC error for rar files and broken frame for mkv files.
I dont seem to get a waiting time with most megaupload links and I always, well mostly download at full speed, instead of the gimped speed FS uses.
This is why I dont use FS, or bother with it anymore.
I never have an issue with fileserve. I always download with fileserve and never have a CRC error. I check everything but the CRC is always match. There must be something else that cause that error. FYI I have premium Fileserve account, downloading with IDM and my speed is about 1,5 Mbps
Holy crap. Episode 25 is huge.
My thoughts exactly, amazing how to get the effect of old grainy cam quality video, more space is required than high quality crisp HD video.
It requires more space because it’s *compressed* HD video. You can’t compress the redundancy of a large area of the same color when there’s grainy noise going through it the whole time.
1.5GB is huge? i think its very normal…
Where are the dual audio patches for episode 5+ ?
Probably with the final batch
Please consider release English audio for each individual episode cause I already mixed English audio for ep.1-25 (from zero-raw) by myself but I have problem with ep.26 , the audio isn’t sync.
So I only need ep.26 English audio, not need ep 1-25,27,28 English audio at all.
They’re going to release patches for the episodes.
(Except the 1080p versions, where they’ll just release the .flac because the patches would be fucking huge)
Personally, I’d just release the audio files and let people mux that shit up themselves.
yeah. Holo had confirmed it π
27 episodes?
i think Haruhi no Yuuutsu has 28 episode.
That’s why they said it will be completed Tommorow, doesn’t say they have completed the project yet.
Which episode is Live Alive ? , I don’t understand this ordering.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Melancholy_of_Haruhi_Suzumiya_episodes
Thank you , My mind was stuck on the original airings ^^
Please release the english patch soon! I want to watch these on my ps3 badly since my computer can’t play HD videos.
Nice job finishing it. Why ep 25 800MB? Kinda deviates from the others by alot.
About the endless… well after ep 4 I just started to skip. I couldn’t watch more of it. There is limits and this was MY limit.
That episode is very fuzzy, needs phenominal amounts of bitrate. Nothing I can do, lol, because every episode is encoded at equal quality levels.
Not long now. Soon there’ll be a decent batch of Haruhi for the world to enjoy.
Yahoo! Torrent link is now working… Time to dl the vol. 5… Thanks again!
Just mentioning this here to verify before potential V2s are released… 1080p EPs 12, 17, & 18 are giving me issues on Windows 7 with MPC. None of these files are able to be moved from their original DL location unless an unlocker is used. They also do not show MKV preview pics (I have CCCP, Shark, and DIVX codec packs installed). I have DL multiple times using Fileserve, XDCC, and via torrent, but all give me the same issue. Files can be moved fine when DL to Win XP, but immediately act up when transferred to Win 7.
Has anyone else had this issue? This problem is isolated on my computer, as these 3 files are the only ones giving me difficulty, so I doubt it is a codec conflict. Also, since I DL the files multiple times, I doubt each DL was corrupt. Thoughts?
Every file I release goes through the same procedure, so I haven’t got a clue how this could have happened.
I’m going to try again on Vista & different computers with Win 7 with the hopes of finding the stem of the problem or a solution. If it helps at all, here is a short video I made highlighting my problem & the corresponding error message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHMnbg43xKk
I think it’s because Windows is trying to make a thumbnail of this files and for some reason are happening a error. This file are opened by Windows, you can’t move or delete they. Try disable video thumbnail on Windows 7, when you plan to move or delete them.
UPDATE: I tested the files on several separate computers and found some interesting results. First off, all computers running Windows Vista and XP play and move the files without difficulty. Second, the recent updates to CCCP and DIVX had no effect on the inability to transfer files (meaning the updates aren’t the cause of problem). Windows 7 PCs running only CCCP (October 2010 version or June 2011 version) showed the same problem, so my combination of CCCP, Shark, and DIVX codec packs does not appear to be the issue either. Different versions of Windows 7 show the same problem: I can verify this for Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate. This leaves me with two likely possibilities: either the files are problematic on all Windows 7 based machines, or on machines running Windows 7 x64 bit edition. As of yet, I have not tested the files running on a computer running a Windows 7 x32 bit edition.
Also, I have not finished DLing Vol. 5, so I cannot confirm if there are any other episodes showing issues.
I will provide additional updates if I have any. Also, if anyone else has this problem, please post a reply. There is a chance all the PCs I have tested are configured in an unusual way, but there is also a chance this is a widespread problem with Windows 7 (US region, if it helps). I have never had this issue with any other Doki releases, so I’m very much at a loss for why these episodes are providing me with problems.
It’s a simple issue, just add “Everyone” to your DL location and grant all permission to that folder. The problem will be show.
If you are running HomeGroup network, some DL files will be locked and unable to share by default, which lead to the issue that you can not move the files.
I’m running Windows 7 and I’m not having any of the problems you’ve described. I was able to move all three specified files from one location to another, and I was able to relocate all 28 to an external hard drive as well. No problems with playback and all of the crc check. As for the source, I downloaded everything via xdcc. I cannot comment on the preview pic since I do not use icons (have it set to details), but I suspect that your issues has to do with your system and not the files themselves (unlike Frostii’s initial Moshidora playback issue).
UPDATE 2: I thought about what Milio said and decided to check my DIVX codecs for problems once again. I had it on all of my computers & merely disabled it before running my test on the CCCP versions. Bad decision on my part… after uninstalling all DIVX components from my main computer, the files were able to be transferred between folders and drives. So thanks Milio!
Its a bit disappointing that my thumbnail generation software needed to be removed for 3 files out of who knows how many, but what can you do, right? The most important thing for me is that the files work appropriately.
Once more, for anyone using the DIVX codec pack in association with CCCP, it must be uninstalled completely for the files to work without needing to be unlocked.
I really don’t know if you need to remove permanently your thumbnail generator. You could try move this files without GUI, using command ‘mv’ on Windows Prompt (CMD) or try [if possible] disable thumbnail only for mkv files.
I have forgot to say, if you have a doubt about integrity of this files, first apply a CRC32 Check in the files and check if result is the same in square brackets([result]).
Thanks for all your hard and awesome work!
Interestingly enough, I’ve bought the actual BD set recently and have been watching the official subs on my TV. Save for the lack of honorifics, Western order and horrendous typesetting, the subs are astoundingly brilliant. It’s much more accurate than AFK’s subs now that I’ve been rewatching them after studying the language for a couple of years.
Sounds interesting, care to rip and upload them? π
Lol I’m jealous. I wish I had the money to buy the Haruhi Japanese BD boxset, I’m stuck with the Haruhi S1/S2 DVDs.
Well, I actually got it using the extra funds I had got from friends and relatives during my birthday last month.
Oh, regarding the official subs, after rewatching a.f.k.’s subs, there are some stuff that I feel are phrased better with a.f.k.’s than the official. But yeah, the official one is more literal in certain areas, which I also like. Some quick examples would be ‘death penalty’ being translated as ‘heads rolling’ by a.f.k. in the first episode and ‘monster’ being translated as’giant squid’ in the murder mystery episode. Minor stuff like that.
To be honest, you can’t go wrong with either. But since I love honorifics and non-localized subs,, I’m more partial to a.f.k..
Except that a.f.k. is pretty localized, itself; just not to the extent to the official subs from Bandai Entertainment.
And one of the biggest problems I have with the official subs for S1 is how literal it was…
“Future men”…seriously?! <_<
Anyway, I'm glad that Holo finally finished releasing this. I have the blu-rays, but it's sad that a fansub group can release something that looks better than the actual discs (for S1, anyway), so I'll be using these files more often than my discs, that's for sure.
Now just to wait on the English audio file to complete the archiving.
Ah in that case, Happy late Birthday Actar. Post some pics of your boxset on your blog/site thing please.
Never mind it seems they’re on delicio.us’ site
BTW, what’s the next BD rip?
Pokemon. Yes Pokemon.
True story π
no. he’s trolling π
