Fileserve been acting up since yesterday for me. Can’t complete downloads at all. They eventually stop. It can be just 10MB or 100MB (whatever size).
I knew it had to happen to someone else. I guess we have no choice but wait until fileserve starts working properly.
Could you tell me how you set those CRCs? 😀
I use a program written by a friend, it calculates the difference between the CRCs then adds 4 bytes to the end of the file with hexedit
I’m having problems with fileserve here too, after 30/40 Mb of download it stop like the download is complete. I guess I’ll have to wait until torrents are posted.

I got a little pb : when I run the ep 13 with vlc, nothing happens except vlc taking more than 25% of my CPU…
(I’ve always used vlc for your releases, and it’s the first time it happened)

For Bakemonogatari Coalgirls was crap. Try tp7’s encode for ANE. He is probably the best encoder who’s rips I have had the pleasure of watching.

i never download things from tp7, but CGi’s Bakemonogatari still looked great on my monitor….
not to mention i downloaded it from bakabt (so why they picked CGi, not tp7?)

Only Tenshi’s CRF13 1080p encodes give CGi a bad name. If I didn’t do the same shows myself, CGi would be my archive of choice (minus the 1080p Tenshi encodes).
Concur. I have CGi’s Bakemonogatari and I’m very happy with it. It’s not overly bloated and it’s looked damn good to my eyes.
You guys are forgetting about CGi’s BD release of the Kara no Kyoukai movies. While they are great both in terms of video, audio, and sub quality, there is just no denying that their encode of the 5th movie is bloated beyond belief…..23,3 GB!? o_o C’mon! I like CGi’s work, and I hate gg’s f@$%in’ localization, so Coalgirls was the only choice for me, but they REALLY need to learn how to encode properly so their releases won’t be so extremely bloated in filesize! >_< This is not the only time I've seen them do this kind of thing (although it's the most extreme example). They should learn from AtsuiAnime. Those guys managed to make FMA: Brotherhood's 64 episodes+4 OVA's and 15 skits, in 1080p BD, reach only a size of 48,6GB total.
Bakemonogatari might be a future option. For now however, we have our hands full.

I would absolutely love you if you did a clean, decent Bake release with *no overlays*. It’s appalling how so many of the groups that did Bake BDs made a concerted effort to eradicate every bit of Japanese text they could find and replace it with awful overlays that made so many scenes unwatchable.
I actually went though each ep and, with my amateur skills, replaced every overlay with on-screen text in open areas and was able to do it, so there’s no excuse for experienced typesetters to resort to overlays. My main problem is that ordered chapters are a huge pain and I can never get the timings quite right on the subs to account for the OP/ED shifts. Someone did release a no-overlays patch that I find quite useful, but a proper release done by Doki experts would be golden.
Also, Endless Eight is awesome. Poo on the haters.

yes. it’s the biggest flaw in CGi. i realized that the timing for commentaries in ending part missed. and i had to started the video over and over just to made sure the timing was fine after OP
aside that, Bakemonogatari had an AWESOME video quality 😀

Well, nicely done guys.
When I run a CRC check on episode 16 (the 1920×1080 version) I get a file is corrupt message. It also specifies that the “correct” CRC is 048C2993. I’ve already double checked via the torrent which says that the file is at 100%. The file seems to play fine, but since you’re deliberately customizing the crc I just wanted to make sure.
How odd. I’ll fix it for the batch.
It’s may be a basic question, but can you please tell me why do we have to check CRC? What’s a good freeware to use for that purpose?
Is CRC the string come a long with the episode name?

Your CRC edits are messing with the playback, i have small troubles with episodes 13-16. Remuxing fixed some of the eps but others got fcked up even more that MPC wont even play them at all.
My MPC plays it just fine… What is your setup?
Ah, nvm i fixed it myself. First i used VLC so it got stuck, worked with MPC, so i remuxed it(i like vlc if w/o ordered chapts), just changed the flags and order to video/flac/subs/chapt hoping to change crc but it got fcked that MPC didnt play it and it said flac header failure or something when i tried a 2nd remux. I deleted it and got a fresh download and this time i added some random fonts to change the filesize(crc along that) to the remux and now its fine. Works with VLC too. (Ps. I use mkvmerge alot so i know i didnt mess up, but something like this never happened before.) Sry for the long ass text lol.
for episode 16 the CRC checks out just fine for me, and none of the files have any trouble playing.
and another thing, the animators weren’t lazy with endless 8, they re-animated for all the episodes, almost makes them seem like different scenes IMO, they weren’t the same.
and the quality of S2… nice, is better than S1
Episode 12 of this batch does not want to play on VLC for some reason. I deleted it (from the batch) then downloaded it again (just that episode) still nothing.
Anyone else getting this issue? REALLY want to watch this episode. ;-;
