file sizes are half of CG’s, if that’s something you care about

Looks like the Coalgirl version is over-bloated and it’s missing details.
I don’t mind the large file sizes. But if it means losing detail, then it’s a no go unless there’s no alternative.

Coalgirls fail hard… I mean why would you even bother releasing something that poor? It just makes them look stupid… It’s excusable for a TV release, but for a Blu-Ray that’s meant to be archived…

I have both releases and the differences (at least on my screen) are not quite as dramatic as those screenshots suggest. I agree though that CGi’s CRF13, unfiltered, bloatfest is a bit of an overkill.
How does it look on your end, then?

Weird. I guess the video is being rendered differently (or maybe it’s a resolution thing).
Which is, perhaps, why screenshot comparisons should always be treated with a certain degree of caution. One persons PC will, invariably, display images differently to another, particularly where brilliance, contrast and colour are concerned.
