I only download the SD releases because of hdd space.
Believe me – there are still people downloading and archiving 480p. It’s a minority, but they’re still there. I hope you won’t turn around from them. It’s really not my fault that I can’t right now afford a high-end PC, which is able to play HD.
I’m one of them, I’m watching on a netbook (well, it has a DVD drive so it ain’t really a netbook, but it’s got a netbook processor so toe-may-toe toe-ma-toe) and the high res version is just to jumpy to watch.
Any modern computer can easily play 1080p video without any problems at all. I think rather than being unable to afford a computer that wasn’t made 10 years ago, you are just too lazy to upgrade to something that can handle the tasks of 2010 (or 2011 now)
Mine is 13 years old. Please give me the cash for a new one, and I can go shopping right now.

Sorry for bringing up here my personal affairs, but you left me no choice.
Sorry for double comment, but forgot to write this. There’s nothing that can be upgraded in my PC without changing some other things, and it all eventually leads to buying a new board. It’s too old for any new parts which are now produced. It just doesnt’t make any sense – it’s better to wait a little longer and buy a completely new, modern one.

Bingo, my friend – I have an AMD 1,3 GHz. Funny thing, but it’s enough for most things I’m doing with it: emulating 8 & 16 bit consoles and old computers like Commodore 64, encoding MP3s, reading mangas. It’s only not enough for watching HD videos in H264. It’s the only reason I’m going to change it someday – I love anime, I’m watching only anime and I just can’t imagine my life without the ability to watch all this new & incoming series.
It’s good to know some people still download them. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on dropping SD.

Agreed. I use SD both for file size on my HD and to minimize data transfer (the amount charged in Canada for blowing the bandwidth cap is highway robbery).
“Ore no Doki ga Konnani Hayai Wake ga Nai!” I had a good laugh at this. For those who don’t speak Japanese, it means “There’s no way my Doki is this fast!”. Anyway, thanks for the release! I was waiting for you guys to catch up so I could continue this series with Doki subs.

I haven’t been downloading the 720 version in fear that the show could have been butchered like TLR. But if there is no difference between the SD and HD version, then I don’t mind downloading either.
I prefer 480p mkv then the Xvid.
Same here, 480p still better than XviD.
Anyway, it’s a good news that it seems I can expect regular publish of Oreimo BD.

Just kidding. It’s a good compromise between detail and file size though.
Even with 3TB, 1080 is a bit too big for large series. Have you seen how big Cardcaptor Sakura is in 1080p? 70 episodes @ approx 1GB each! maybe when 10TB drives are available…

Oh man. That is hilarious. So true as well. 2 episodes of acting like a civilized human beings don’t make up for ten episodes of being a total bitch.
As I’m one of the minority who does use the SD versions 9 times out 10 unless it’s not available. If it’s at all possible could you keep on releasing them in SD format please, as unlike some people out there smaller download sizes equals a faster downloads and also for myself personally, less of a chunk taken out of my Monthly Data allowance for internet usage 🙂 (which overall is rather limited)

Of the last aired episode, yes, 12 is the last. There are another 4 more episodes, which are unaired. They will be on Volumes 7-8 of the BDs. Expect them in July/August.
So… not to be an obsessed maniac but when you say 50% translated… how far does that put us from a release? About 5 or 6 days? And out of plain curiosity, what encoding software is Doki’s choice?
