Clannad ~After Story~ (Blu-Ray) Announcement

1080p (h264): [Doki] Clannad After Story – CM1 (1920×1080 h264 AAC) [D72D769F].mkv

Torrent

Just a reminder that the release date for Clannad After Story approaches.

I hope that these are uploaded to Share ASAP! I really don’t feel like raiding the bank to buy it lol.

Versions:

  • 1920×1080 h264 FLAC
  • 1280×720 h264 AAC
  • 848×480 h264 AAC

Subs: [SS-Eclipse]

Dual Audio Verdict: No Dual Audio. The BDMV does not contain English audio. For me to do dual audio, I would need to download the DVDs, extract audio, sync audio, make patches, etc. In short, :effort:
I have other shit to be working on.

Joseole99 will be working on the DA versions so they are in good hands.

oh boy sure Holo is enjoying this debate 😀
    debate away

if this ends up not dual-audio someone else will give justice to it.

Personally, I’d say don’t bother with dual audio. It would only increase the file sizes for something most people don’t care about (as is usually the case with dubs).

I’ll still get your release regardless of what you do, but I rather it isn’t filled with unnecessary stuff. Perhaps offer it as a patch, as some have suggested.

Man, this is really starting to get ridicilous…how long is this damn arguing and debating going to go on? I mean, it’s what, almost 230 comments by now? Jeez…I don’t like or use dubs myself (And I do agree that Clannad’s dubs are particularly bad compared to many others), but I also live in 2011, where harddrive space shouldn’t be a problem, and so it’s not something I really care about if the files should end up being bigger because they also come with an alternative english audio-track. -_- My computer’ cabinet has room for 9 harddrive’s, which can all be slided in easily in “drawers”, kind of, and if each of these are some Terrabytes big, there should be a loooong time before space will ever be a problem for me. Local harddrives are cheap these days people. Stop complaining about having to download extra GB’s. You should just be happy about getting Clannad in Bluray at all, especially since you’re getting it for free. I for one think Doki should just choose whatever option THEY, the group staff, want to do, by majority vote, whatever that turns out to be, and just ignore this debate all together. I’l be happy either way, regardless of what they choose.

    Peace out.

I made a few typos, but it was a big message, so it can’t be helped…

I have a few terabytes of storage space available myself, but I fail to see the relevancy of this. You just acknowledged that Clannad’s dubs were horrible even by dubs “standards”. So remind me again, how does having 9001 TBs justify wasting it on that, when it can be easily avoided?

When “This is useless, but I have a shitton of space, so why the fuck not.” becomes one’s main argument for pro-dubs, you just know it isn’t worth your time. Just my 2 cents.

      • Rokudaime

It may be completely pointless and useless to you and me, but as this debate clearly proves, there are still people out there who want the dubs, even though they are horribad. Now, the point is, if Doki chooses to include the dubs in order to allow pro-dub watchers to watch the show with the dubs, while others can still watch it without them, that’s their choice, and a service to make as many as possible happy, and it really shouldn’t be a problem. The thing is, it’s a minor detail, and I don’t think you, me, or anyone else has the right to complain just because we have to download a few extra Gigabytes so dub-watchers can be satisfied. In the same way, I don’t think those that want the dubs have a right to complain if they don’t get the dubs either. The only way I can think of to make everyone happy in this case is to make seperate patch files to include the dubs, but that means extra work for Doki, and I really don’t think they should have to go through the trouble unless they really want to. Again, whatever they choose to do, we should be happy with what we get.

  • Personally, FORGET the English dub. It’s HORRID, anyway. I mean, not a big fan of English dub to begin with, but at least there are some that are still pretty good out there…but CLANNAD’s dubs are just something to ask for a barf-bag with. Ugh.

Anyways, I’ve been waiting for this BD release. I need to re-watch this title for the umpteenth time. x’3

  • Kite516

Do you guys have a timeframe when this is going to be uploaded? I know you’re still waiting on the BDMVs but it’d be less painful for me to search tokyo toshokan every day.

    • Holo

I have no idea lol. Could be tomorow, or next week. Just check this blog, i will update the status.

      • Kite516

Alright! I’ve seen quite a few people on various forums getting it, so I just wonder when one will upload the BDMVs. I heard they’re going to be around 200GB+ so I have a feeling it’s going to be a long painful wait.

Hopefully this season of shows will keep me busy.

    • MajiNPic

I’ve already set 40 triggers for CLANNAD After Story BDMV in Share, so that I don’t have to check it everyday. Just stand by… ^^

  • Tiberium Wolf

Since you ppl go no dub and yes dub and this never end let me propose an alternative. Get fandub! 😛 (j/k)

  • CmN2

    My body is ready for a torrent of emotions… it definitely wasn’t the first time around ;_;
    Ushioooooooo ;_;

  • odi

    fandub? i’ll do it!

  • ene13

so they have been posted on share raws, but theyre HUUUUGE. dayum. i cant even hope to download that much lol. realistically it should take a month for a nice final offer to be ready , no?

    • Kite516

Yeah I saw them on shareraws too, Don’t bother unless you have godly internet/a premium account or something there.

      • MajiNPic

The BDMVs are still not appear in Share/PD yet. And If they appeared, I could easily download them in a week with my 6 Mbps ADSL (around 700KB/s) from Share. Because those japaneses have 100/100Mbps FTTH! Only 1 seeder is more than enough for me! lol

    • Zdm321

They’re just reposting Season 1 for some reason (look at the dates in the file names). There are no BDMVs for After Story yet.

  • Joey

Please release the Kyou Chapter first! Everything else can wait 😀

  • Kite516

QTS just released them all in 720p..

  • Are ny other groups doing the 720p of After Story?

  • austin

The BDMV is out :D, quit debating guys.

  • Omega

I have been visiting this site almost since its begining but never wrote anything.
Now I’m forced to write when Clannad After Story is finally out, which makes my first post on this site today.

    Oh well..

I will only say that both Clannad and Clannad After Story are one of the best anime series ever imo! I had good times watching them and I miss those days.

Thanks and keep it up Holo and your group Doki!
